Hi—I’m Laura

I’m a highly technical Product Designer with extensive experience designing and developing for web, macOS, Android, and iOS. I care deeply about designing conscientious experiences that are accessible in every sense of the word, and I approach problems generatively and holistically to get there. I’m currently working on your desktop experience at Dropbox, and before that I worked on design systems, brand, Creative, and Friends at Twitch. Reach me by email or follow me on Twitter.

At Twitch I helped to build the foundation for their CSS framework, styleguide, and accessibility guide. I contributed 1000s of lines of SASS, HTML, and JS building out foundational components using BEM best practices to allow for its flexible expansion into robust system that now powers all of twitch.tv.

I also worked on the Friends feature, designed & built the first version of Communities, Twitch ’15, Twitch/Create, and illustrated emotes for Twitch’s Julia Child marathon.

Before Twitch I worked with Tendigi to explore R&D projects before I drove a complete overhaul of their brand and identity.

Born and raised on Long Island, I live in San Francisco where I enjoy my morning jalapeño bagel and coffee accompanied by anything science-fiction. I received my B.S. in Computer Science from New York University and am a self-taught designer. My happy place is the beach and the couch in that order. If I could bring my couch and TV with me to the beach, I would.
