Laura Gallisá

Laura is a Product Designer working on desktop things at Dropbox. Born and raised on Long Island, Laura lives in San Francisco where she enjoys her morning jalapeño bagel and coffee accompanied by anything science-fiction.


A brief history

Laura started out with responsive web design and development where she primarily focused on brand and visual design. More recently, she designed and developed for Android and most recently for native macOS.

Before Dropbox, Laura worked at Twitch where she helped to build the foundation for their CSS framework, styleguide, and accessibility guide. Laura contributed 1000s of lines of SASS, HTML, and JS building out foundational components using BEM best practices to allow for its flexible expansion into robust system that now powers all of twitch.tv.


Laura also helped build the Friends feature, designed & built the first version of Communities, Twitch '15, Twitch/Create, and illustrated emotes for Twitch's Julia Child marathon.


Before Twitch, Laura worked with Tendigi to explore R&D projects before she drove a complete overhaul of their brand and identity.
